Water Resources and Environmental Engineering Sector NTUA

Description

The Water Resources and Environmental Engineering Sector is one of the five sectors of the School of Civil Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). NTUA was established in 1837 and is the oldest technological university in Greece. The Sector was established in 1982, under Framework Law 1268/82 on higher education.

The Sector’s field of expertise encompasses the quantitative and qualitative study of the aquatic environment and related civil engineering works.

The Water Resources and Environmental Engineering Sector comprises 21 members of the Teaching and Research Staff (DEP) and 30 permanent employees of NTUA, including teaching support staff and technical, research and administrative support personnel. Approximately 60 scientists work within the Sector as PhD candidates and research associates under project-based contracts.
