Description

Purpose of the Hospital:

1. The provision of Primary and Secondary Health Care to the population served by the 2nd Regional Health Authority of Piraeus and the Aegean, as well as to patients referred by other Regional Health Authorities. Healthcare is provided equally to all citizens, regardless of their economic, social, or professional status, in accordance with the principles of the National Health System and Social Security.
2. The specialization, continuing education, and training of physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals through the development and implementation of relevant educational programmes.
3. The development and promotion of research in the field of health. To this end, the Hospital implements and develops research programmes and cooperates with other relevant bodies, as well as international organizations, scientific institutions, and research centres.
